Masurische Seenplatte - West

Mragowo Lakes, the western strip of the Masuria Lakeland, is not only a wonderful place to spend your holiday close to water and communing with nature, but it is also abundant in historical sights. The typical Masurian landscape was shaped by glaciation, and features mild hills and ribbon lakes, offering a wide range of holiday activities from active recreation (including all kinds of water sports, hiking, and cycling) to exploring the historic heritage of the region. You can also simply sunbath, enjoy the picturesque countryside, pick mushrooms (there are many forests, especially in the southern part) or visit one of the popular festivals. Whatever your dreams are for the ideal holiday, good relaxation is guaranteed here.

The Ketrzyn area, while not historically a part of Masuria, is included here as part of “western Masuria” due to its location close to the Mragowo Lakes.
